Fashion Designer, Ruth Louissaint was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At a young age, her family relocated to Miami, Florida. Ms. Louissaint fell in love with the world of fashion designing and sewing while watching her mother work as a Seamstress.

Mlle. Louissaint also manufactured fashion lines and samples for fashion designers. Ruth has had the opportunity to work with and design fashions for many talented models, well known artists, politicians and local South Floridians. Ruth’s custom designs have been seen on prominent community leaders, commissioners and state reps, producers and actresses.

Throughout her career Ruth Louissaint has been featured in various magazines.  Currently, Ruth has created two new designer lines of couture in her namesake Ruth Louissaint Designs and Free-Dom. These designs showcase her multi-dimensional talent. Ruth has created a new design haven in Miramar, Florida where she creates her Couture and one-of-a-kind designs for clients: Wedding and Prom Couture, High Fashion, Designer (Samples and Patterns) and Accessories.

As for the future, Ruth Louissaint Designs plans to continue brand promotion while transitioning into a premiere manufacturing company. In addition to brand promotion and manufacturing, RLD will feature a Behind-The-Scenes segment, Designer Development, Fashion Education are some of the projects we will be working on.
